Project Overview
For my final apprenticeship exam, I created a comprehensive strategic design concept for NASCH e. V.’s annual network event in Braunschweig. The association connects caterers, schools, suppliers, and parents to promote organic, regional school meals. Starting with in-depth market and target group analysis, I developed a complete brand ecosystem for the event. Starting with an event logo extension and a target-group-tailored color system to print collateral, a mobile-first landing page, and event touchpoints like roll-ups and an exhibition stand.
Challenge
This was only my second solo concept-project, and the timeline was extremely tight for such a broad scope. The biggest hurdle was taking an existing logo with almost no initial guidance and building a complete strategic foundation from scratch. On top of that, I had to design for four very different target groups—from caterers and press to school heads and parents—ensuring the event felt professional yet low-barrier and welcoming to all
My learning
This project was a huge milestone for me! I learned how to move past just making things look "pretty" by building real strategic depth behind my design choices. Backing up every color choice, font, and asset with market insights gave my creative decisions true weight and showed me how powerful design becomes when it's grounded in a solid strategy.
